# Define your guest WiFi metrics A shared dictionary for keeping connections, contacts, subscriptions and visits distinct. Source: https://www.voqadowifi.com/field-notes/wifi-metric-dictionary ## Your working brief ### Metric name Your notes: ### Event definition Your notes: ### Time window Your notes: ### Counting rule Your notes: ### Known limitation Your notes: ## Practical steps 1. Name the event Describe what has actually happened: a page loaded, a login completed, an address was recorded or a marketing choice was made. Keep these as separate events. 2. State the counting rule Record the time window, duplicate handling and exclusions. Ask how repeat devices, shared addresses and test records affect the result. 3. Name the limitation Explain what the measure cannot establish. A login count alone does not identify total footfall, unique people, revenue or permission to send a campaign. ## Review before acting Have two people calculate or interpret the same example. Different answers expose a definition that needs more work. Watch for: Do not rename device activity as unique customers without evidence that supports the identity relationship. This worksheet is a planning aid. Confirm product availability and the approvals needed for your specific environment.
