Common Questions
Do guests need to install an app?
No. The captive portal opens automatically in the device's browser when they connect to WiFi — no app download required.
Which Omada firmware versions are supported?
VoqadoWiFi works with Omada Software Controller v5.x and v5.x+, Omada Cloud Controller, and hardware controllers. Self-signed SSL certificates are supported via the OMADA_DISABLE_SSL_VERIFY environment variable.
Can I white-label the portal?
Yes — on the Pro plan, you can fully customise the portal with your brand colours, logo, custom welcome messages, and background images.
How does the returning guest detection work?
We check the guest's device MAC address against previous sessions at the same location. If found within the auto-login window (default 30 days), the guest is automatically re-authenticated without filling in the form again.
