Where does the WiFi map data come from?
From OpenStreetMap, the open map built by volunteers, which records venues that offer internet access. We add public libraries, hotels, and chains that publicly advertise free customer WiFi, and label each listing with how we know.
How often is the map updated?
We refresh the snapshot from OpenStreetMap regularly. Each city page shows the date of its snapshot.
Do you show WiFi passwords?
No. The map shows where WiFi is offered. Passwords belong to the venue, so ask staff.
Can I add or fix a venue?
Yes. Venue owners can use the form on any map page. Anyone can also edit OpenStreetMap directly, and changes flow into the next refresh.
