StayFi alternatives, starting with the case for staying

StayFi is one of the few WiFi marketing tools built for short term rentals, with rental management integrations, pre arrival collection and SMS. Most alternatives, including ours, are built for venues. That changes who should switch.

Who wrote this. VoqadoWiFi wrote this page and is one of the options on it, so weigh it accordingly. Every other vendor’s price and feature below was read from that vendor’s own pages on October 7, 2026 and is linked in the table. Staying on StayFi is listed as an option, and the page says when it is the right one.
The short answer
If you host short term rentals and use a rental management system, StayFi is probably still your best fit. If you run a venue on Omada or UniFi, VoqadoWiFi is free for one location and never screens reviews. CaptiFi also lists short term rentals among its markets, and GoZone has a free plan with ads.

Why venues look beyond StayFi

From StayFi’s own pages, read October 7, 2026:

  • Its pricing page says the service needs a StayFi Express device ($99) on a compatible system or StayFi’s own access points; its homepage says UniFi set ups work natively.
  • Its homepage describes review campaigns that "screens for 5-star reviews and pushes guests to review on public review websites".
  • Pricing runs through a calculator from $19 a month, plus hardware and SMS credits.

VoqadoWiFi (us)Free Starter plan, then Growth at $49 a month for 3 locations and 5,000 guest logins. One flat price, not per location.Starter is free forever, not a trial: 1 location, 500 guest logins a month, branded login, guest email capture and CSV export. No card, no ads shown to guests.Exactly two: TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi. Nothing else works.WiFi terms acceptance is never treated as marketing consent. Every guest who gave email consent gets the same public review link, 3 hours after connecting by default, and never between 21:00 and 09:00 venue time; a private note to the venue is offered in addition, never instead.Venues, not rentals, on Omada or UniFi

The case for staying on StayFi

Stay on StayFi if you manage rentals and rely on its PMS integration, pre arrival guest data collection, occupancy alerts, guest homepage or SMS journeys. None of the venue platforms below do those things, and VoqadoWiFi does none of them.

Each option, with its catch

VoqadoWiFi

Why consider it. A free plan that captures guest emails with consent (1 location, 500 logins a month, no card), Growth at $49 a month for three locations, and review requests that show every guest the same public link.

The catch. Works only with TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi. No SMS, no paid WiFi, no POS or PMS integration, no white label. Campaign sending is being switched on account by account. No rental management integration.

CaptiFi

Why consider it. Its own site lists short term rentals among its markets; review requests from Essentials; hardware on a refundable deposit.

The catch. No rental management integration is listed on its pricing page; trial needs a card.

GoZone WiFi

Why consider it. Free forever with email login and no access point limit.

The catch. Ads at login on the free plan.

Spotipo

Why consider it. Wide router support, voucher and paid WiFi, CRM sync.

The catch. Per location pricing and no review requests described.

The portal built into your network

Why consider it. If your rental already runs Omada or UniFi, the built in portal can show terms or a password at no cost.

The catch. It keeps no guest list you can market to and sends nothing after the visit. Right if you only want a terms page; wrong if you want to bring guests back.

Before you leave StayFi, export these

  • Guest contacts with the consent they gave and when.
  • SMS consent separately from email consent: they are different permissions.
  • Any pre arrival form data your PMS does not already hold.

Consent records matter most. A list of emails without the wording and date each guest agreed to is a list you should not email. Our guide to guest WiFi and privacy rules explains why.
