VoqadoWiFi and StayFi are built for different buildings

StayFi is made for short term and vacation rentals: hardware it ships, links to rental management systems, and texts to guests before and during a stay. VoqadoWiFi is made for venues people walk into, on the Omada or UniFi network they already run. Most buyers only need one honest sentence to choose.

Who wrote this. VoqadoWiFi wrote this page, and VoqadoWiFi is one of the two products on it. Read it with that in mind. Every StayFi figure and feature below was read from StayFi’s own pages on October 7, 2026 and is linked so you can check it. Where StayFi is the better choice, the page says so.
The short version
If you host short term rentals, StayFi is probably the better tool: it ships its own devices, integrates with rental management systems and sends SMS. If you run a cafe, bar, hotel or shop on Omada or UniFi, VoqadoWiFi fits better, with a free plan and review requests that never screen by rating.

Pricing modelFree Starter plan, then Growth at $49 a month for 3 locations and 5,000 guest logins. One flat price, not per location."Starting at just $19/month" through a pricing calculator, plus hardware and optional SMS credits ($0.0425 down to $0.0175 per credit).
Free tier, in their own termsStarter is free forever, not a trial: 1 location, 500 guest logins a month, branded login, guest email capture and CSV export. No card, no ads shown to guests. No free plan or trial stated on the pricing page. Email marketing is free up to 200 contacts with at least one active WiFi access point or a PMS integration.
HardwareNone supplied and none to return. Runs on the Omada or UniFi controller you already have.Works with a StayFi Express device ($99) on a compatible system, natively with UniFi according to its homepage, or with StayFi’s own access points ($139 to $284).
Network vendors supportedExactly two: TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi. Nothing else works.Several compatible systems named on its pages, including Omada and UniFi, plus StayFi hardware.
Consent handlingWiFi terms acceptance is never treated as marketing consent. On the explicit consent form (the default for new venues; owners switch it on for existing ones) the email box is separate and starts unticked, and each choice is stored with the exact wording shown and the time.No consent or opt in wording found on the pricing page.
Review requestsNever gated. Every guest who gave email consent gets the same public review link, 3 hours after connecting by default, and never between 21:00 and 09:00 venue time; a private note to the venue is offered in addition, never instead. Its homepage describes Rate & Review campaigns that "screens for 5-star reviews and pushes guests to review on public review websites".
Choose it whenYou run Omada or UniFi, want a published price, and want guest emails and review requests without a sales call. You manage vacation rentals and want PMS integration, pre arrival data collection, occupancy alerts and SMS.

Where StayFi is the better choice

  • Rentals. PMS integration, pre arrival guest data collection, a guest homepage, occupancy and outage alerts. None of that exists on VoqadoWiFi.
  • SMS. StayFi sells text message credits for guest journeys. VoqadoWiFi does not send SMS.
  • Hardware done for you. If you have no network, or the wrong one, StayFi ships pre programmed access points. VoqadoWiFi supplies no hardware.

Where VoqadoWiFi is the better fit

  • Venues on Omada or UniFi. No device to buy: VoqadoWiFi runs as the external portal on the controller you already have. StayFi also works with existing UniFi set ups, according to its homepage; on Omada its pricing page points to a StayFi Express device.
  • A free plan. Starter is free for one location and 500 guest logins a month, with email capture and CSV export.
  • Reviews without screening. Every guest who opted in gets the same public link, whatever they would rate you. A private note is offered in addition, never instead.

The review question, plainly

StayFi’s own homepage describes its Rate & Review campaigns as review collection that "screens for 5-star reviews and pushes guests to review on public review websites". We quote it because it is the clearest difference between the two products, and because it is their description, not ours.

VoqadoWiFi does the opposite on purpose. The review page shows every guest the same public destinations in the same order, whatever rating they give, and offers a private note underneath for anyone who wants to tell the venue something directly. Before you switch on any tool that screens ratings, read Google’s policy on soliciting reviews; our guide to review timing links it.

Hardware is the real cost question

StayFi lists its devices on the pricing page: StayFi Express at $99, and its own access points from $139 for WiFi 5 to $284 for WiFi 7. For a rental with a consumer router, that is a reasonable path to a managed guest network.

For a venue already running Omada, StayFi’s pricing page points to the StayFi Express device, a second box on a network that does not otherwise need one; a UniFi venue can use StayFi without it, according to StayFi’s homepage. VoqadoWiFi points the controller at its portal and authorises guests through the controller itself.

Decide in four questions

  • Short term rental with a PMS? StayFi.
  • Need SMS to guests? StayFi; VoqadoWiFi does not send texts.
  • Venue on Omada or UniFi, want it free to start? VoqadoWiFi.
  • Reviews must reach every guest equally? VoqadoWiFi, by design.

Questions

How much does StayFi cost?
StayFi’s pricing page says "starting at just $19/month" and prices through a calculator. Hardware is listed separately: StayFi Express $99, and access points from $139 to $284. SMS credits run from $0.0425 down to $0.0175 per credit by volume. Email marketing is free up to 200 contacts with an active access point or PMS integration.
Does StayFi need its own hardware?
Its pricing page says the service requires either a StayFi Express device with a compatible WiFi system or StayFi’s pre programmed hardware, and its homepage says it works with existing and new Ubiquiti UniFi set ups. VoqadoWiFi needs no device; it runs on an existing Omada or UniFi controller.
Does StayFi filter reviews by rating?
StayFi’s homepage describes its Rate & Review campaigns as review collection that screens for 5 star reviews and pushes guests to public review websites. VoqadoWiFi shows every guest the same public review link whatever their rating.
Can VoqadoWiFi work for a vacation rental?
Only if the rental runs a TP-Link Omada or Ubiquiti UniFi network, and even then it has no PMS integration, no pre arrival collection and no SMS. Most rental hosts are better served by a rental specific tool.
