Plan for AI / Note 43

Give AI a better campaign draft brief

A prompt worksheet that keeps venue facts, audience and approval requirements visible.

First, the useful part

Start with the decision.

An AI draft is easiest to review when the brief separates verified facts from creative freedom. Give the assistant the details it may use and tell it how to handle gaps. This workflow can be used in an approved writing tool; it is not a claim about a built-in sending feature.

Put it into practice

Three moves to make.

  1. Supply approved facts

List the event, date, location, offer and destination. Mark uncertain details explicitly and ask the assistant to leave them unresolved rather than invent them.

  2. Define the audience and voice

Describe the permissioned audience in broad terms and provide a short tone example. Avoid including identifiable guest records for a generic copywriting task.

  3. Ask for a reviewable output

Request a subject line, short body, one action and a list of assumptions. Keep sending outside the task and assign a human to verify the final draft.

An illustrative example

What it could look like.

Prompt starter: “Draft an invitation using only the facts below. Write warmly and plainly. Use one main action. Do not invent testimonials, scarcity or results. List missing facts after the draft. This is a draft for human review.”

The final check.

Compare every factual sentence with the brief. Follow the link and confirm the venue can deliver the promised experience before using the draft.

The detail that matters

Do not let a polished draft substitute for checking dates, capacity or offer terms.

Should I upload my guest list to write a generic email?

A broad audience description is usually enough for a generic draft. Use only the minimum approved information needed for the task.
