Ninety covers walked through the door, and you cannot name one of them
A restaurant is one of the few businesses where hundreds of people hand you their attention, their money and an hour of their evening, and you end the night with a Z report and nothing else. Here is what that costs, moment by moment.
The table of six that loved it
They told the server the lamb was the best thing they had eaten all year. That compliment stays in the dining room. Nobody at that table is asked for a Google review, because asking at the till feels like begging and the moment passes with the card machine.
A consented email address, captured while they were waiting for the starters, means the ask can happen later, in writing, when the meal is a good memory rather than a bill.
The Tuesday regular who quietly stopped
They came every other week for a year. They have not been in since March. No till system flagged it, because a restaurant till counts covers, not people. The absence is invisible until you notice the room feels thinner.
A guest list with dates attached turns absence into something you can see, and something you can write to. You cannot win back a diner you never knew you lost.
The birthday party of twelve
Twelve people, a cake brought out with sparklers, an occasion that happens every single year. You will not know when the next one is, and neither will they until a competitor with a mailing list gets there first.
A date of birth and a permission to contact is the difference between hoping they come back and having a reason to write in eleven months.
The wet Wednesday you cannot fill
A cancelled party of ten leaves a hole in the book. You post it on social media, where the platform decides which fraction of your own followers see it, and the tables stay empty.
An owned list of people who have already eaten your food and asked to hear from you is the only audience you can reach without paying for the privilege.
None of the above depends on how good your food is, which is the part no software can sell you. It only depends on whether the moment a diner joins your network leaves you with a record or with nothing.
What the Starter plan actually covers
Copied from our published pricing, with nothing rounded up. Starter is free forever, and there is no date on which any of it stops.
25 guest logins every month
The counter resets monthly and never expires. There are no overage charges on any VoqadoWiFi plan, on any tier.
1 location
One dining room, one network, one portal. A second site needs Growth, which covers 3 locations for one flat price.
A branded captive portal
Your logo, your colours, your wording, on the phone the diner is already holding. Custom branding is included on the free plan.
Email capture with GDPR consent
Name, email, and a consent box that starts unticked. Getting online and agreeing to marketing stay separate, and every consent is timestamped.
CSV export of the whole list
The diners you collect are yours. Export the file whenever you like and take it to any email tool, or take it away entirely.
Basic analytics and email support
A basic analytics dashboard to watch the list grow, and email support from the people who build the product.
The arithmetic a restaurant should do before signing up
Twenty five logins a month is fewer than one a day. A busy dining room will reach that inside a single weekend. We are not going to pretend otherwise, because you would find out on Saturday anyway.
What Starter is genuinely good for is proving the mechanic on your own room. You learn what share of diners tick the consent box, how your splash page reads on a phone at a candlelit table, and whether your floor team even notices it is running. Those answers are worth more than a vendor case study, and they cost nothing.
Every limit here matches our published pricing. If the two ever disagree, trust the pricing page. The wider free plan explainer lives on the free plan page.
Three steps, on the hardware you already own
No engineer in your dining room and no equipment to buy. VoqadoWiFi supports two controller platforms, TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi, and sits in front of the access points already installed.
Point the controller you already run at the portal
VoqadoWiFi is an external captive portal. Your TP-Link Omada or Ubiquiti UniFi controller points at it, and the access points already screwed into your ceiling do the rest. There is no VoqadoWiFi hardware to buy and nothing to take off the wall mid service. If you are not sure what your installer left you with, the compatibility checker answers it in about a minute.
Check what is in my ceilingBrand the splash screen the way you brand the menu
Upload the logo, set the colours, and write the sentence a diner reads before ticking the consent box. Say what you will send and how often. A restaurant that promises one email a month and sends one email a month keeps its list.
Service runs, the list fills itself
A diner connects, sees your portal instead of a password prompt, and chooses whether to hear from you. Nobody on your floor staff has to ask anyone for an email address again. The first 25 logins each month land on the free plan.
When a restaurant should stop using the free plan
A free plan that quietly pretends to be the paid plan is a trial with better manners. Here is what Starter leaves out, and the point at which a working restaurant should move.
Not on Starter
These sit on Growth at $49 a month.
- Google Review automation, the request that goes out after the meal
- Post visit email on an automatic two hour delay
- AI Guest Host with memory and greeting
- Birthday campaigns and re-engagement flows for lapsed diners
- Native TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi integration
- Mailchimp sync
- Real time dashboard, guest profiles and history, location comparison
- Priority support
White label portal with no Voqado branding, and API access, are Enterprise features.
Growth, $49 a month
- You filled 25 logins before the end of the first week and want the rest of the month captured too. Growth carries 3,000 logins a month, which is 120 times the Starter allowance.
- You want the review request to send itself. Google Review automation and the post visit email are the reason most restaurants move.
- You opened a second site, or you run a restaurant and a cafe. Growth covers 3 locations in one flat $49, not $49 each.
- You want birthday and re-engagement campaigns firing without anyone remembering to write them.
If none of those are true yet, stay on Starter. Nothing expires to push you, there are no overage charges on any plan, and the guest list you build stays exportable either way.

Tonight's covers are already connecting
The only question is whether service ends with a guest list or a Z report. Starter is free forever on 1 location and 25 guest logins a month. Set it up between lunch and dinner and judge it on your own trading week.
Works with TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi controllers.
