VoqadoWiFi
Comparison

VoqadoWiFi and CaptiFi are making opposite bets

CaptiFi bundles the access points into the subscription so a venue with nothing can start from nothing. VoqadoWiFi supplies no hardware and charges nothing. Which is right for you comes down to a single question about what is already on your ceiling.

The short version
If you already run TP-Link Omada or Ubiquiti UniFi, VoqadoWiFi does the same job on a free plan and CaptiFi’s hardware bundle is value you would be paying for twice. If you run Meraki, Aruba or nothing at all, VoqadoWiFi will not work for you and CaptiFi is the better platform. That is genuinely the whole decision.

Where a cell says “check their terms”, it is because the answer was not published clearly enough to state here. Guessing on a competitor’s behalf is how comparison pages become untrustworthy. CaptiFi pricing.

What CaptiFi does better

  • Hardware compatibility, by a wide margin. Four or more access point vendors against two. If your estate is mixed, that difference is decisive and nothing on this page argues otherwise.
  • Starting from zero. A venue with no managed WiFi can sign up and receive access points. VoqadoWiFi has no answer for that customer at all.
  • One throat to choke. When hardware and software come from the same vendor, nobody can blame the other one. That is worth real money to an operator without technical staff.

What VoqadoWiFi does better

  • Cost, if you already have hardware. Free against a published $69 a month, or $59 annually, for a single site. Over a year that is the whole difference.
  • No payment method to start. CaptiFi’s own page says the trial requires a card and a refundable deposit. VoqadoWiFi’s free plan takes neither.
  • No lock in through hardware. Access points that came with a subscription are a reason to stay that has nothing to do with the software. Your own access points are yours.
  • Self serve setup. Ten minutes, a controller setting and a URL. No shipment, no onboarding slot.

How to actually decide

Walk to an access point and read the label. If it says EAP, or it is a UniFi disc, start with the free plan and spend nothing. If it says anything else, or there is nothing on the ceiling, talk to CaptiFi and do not waste an afternoon on this platform.

Questions

What is the main difference between VoqadoWiFi and CaptiFi?
CaptiFi includes access points with the subscription, so the monthly price covers hardware, support and software together. VoqadoWiFi supplies no hardware and assumes you already run TP-Link Omada or Ubiquiti UniFi, which is why it can offer a free plan.
Which one is cheaper?
It depends on whether you have hardware. If you already run Omada or UniFi, VoqadoWiFi is free on the Starter plan and CaptiFi publishes $69 a month for Essentials, $59 billed annually. If you have no access points at all, CaptiFi bundles them and the comparison is no longer like for like.
Does CaptiFi have a free plan?
No. Their pricing page describes a 30 day free trial that requires a payment method and a refundable hardware deposit before it starts, then a paid plan.
Does CaptiFi support more hardware?
Yes, considerably more. They list UniFi, Omada, Meraki and Aruba among others. VoqadoWiFi supports exactly two vendors. If your venue runs Meraki or Aruba, this is not a close call and CaptiFi is the right answer.
Can I move my guest list between them?
From VoqadoWiFi, yes, CSV export is on every plan including the free one. Check the export terms on any platform before you build a list inside it, because that is the point at which switching becomes expensive.
