Welcome better / Note 13
Plan a multilingual WiFi welcome
A review sheet for making translated guest instructions consistent with the real login journey.

Start with the decision.
Translation is more than replacing a headline. Field labels, errors, optional choices and help instructions need the same care. Start with languages your venue can maintain and have a fluent reviewer check the complete journey.
Three moves to make.
Inventory every string
List the heading, instructions, fields, button labels, error states and follow-up messages. Include the language selector if your implementation supports one.
Review the meaning
Ask a fluent reviewer to explain the action and optional choices back to you. Resolve ambiguous hospitality idioms and keep network names unchanged unless the actual network changes.
Test the layout
Check the longest translated labels on a small phone. Confirm that a guest can still identify the primary action and return to a language they understand.
What it could look like.
If the English button says “Connect,” a translation should describe the same action. Do not turn it into “Subscribe” unless the action really is subscription. Keep a record of approved wording and the reviewer responsible for each language.
Make the idea concrete.
Use these five prompts with your team. The downloadable text worksheet includes the prompts, practical steps and review check. Save it, edit it or print it.

The final check.
Review translated text again whenever the underlying flow changes. A translation can remain grammatically correct while becoming operationally wrong.
Do not advertise multilingual support merely because a draft translation exists. Verify the implementation first.
Can I launch with machine-translated copy?
Use it as a draft if helpful, then have a fluent reviewer check meaning and the actual interface before guests rely on it.
