Set gates for a multi-site WiFi rollout
A staged approval worksheet for expanding a tested guest experience across different venues.

Start with the decision.
A working pilot is a starting point, not proof that every location has the same environment. Rollout gates make differences visible and give each venue an accountable owner. Group sites by confirmed setup characteristics rather than assuming one universal configuration.
Three moves to make.
Classify the sites
Record controller arrangements, operating constraints and support owners for each location. Flag differences that require a fresh compatibility or acceptance check.
Set the gates
Define what must be true before a site progresses: inventory complete, change approved, pilot accepted and staff briefed. Assign the approver for each gate.
Review each wave
After a small rollout wave, compare support observations and acceptance results. Resolve repeated issues before moving to the next group.
What it could look like.
A hotel and a café under the same brand may have different network operators and service windows. They can share a welcome design while still requiring separate operational approval and device testing.
Make the idea concrete.
Use these five prompts with your team. The downloadable text worksheet includes the prompts, practical steps and review check. Save it, edit it or print it.

- Next wave decisionRecord your decision and the evidence behind it.
The final check.
Keep a live list of exceptions. A location should not be marked ready merely because another location in its region succeeded.
Do not roll changes across every venue before understanding failures in the first representative group.
Can every site use the same checklist?
Use a shared core checklist, then add the environment-specific checks required by the authorized network owner.
